Accounting Internship

• Perform routine accounting activities
• Perform data input and basic mathematical calculations related to accounting
• Maintain historical records, by scanning and filing accounting/vendor documents
• Complete and update W-9 forms and credit applications
• Check and verify accuracy of routine calculations and/or reports, and match checks to associated invoices
• Prepare accounting reports and assist with general accounting duties
• Record, reconcile, and balance transactions in accounting systems/software
• Maintain and update accounts receivable and/or accounts payable documentation
• Process accounts receivable payments and create and distribute payment receipts
• Monitor, direct or respond to general accounting inquiries
• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information
• Matching checks to associated invoices
• Perform collection efforts via phone, face-to-face, and/or email
• Prepare certificates of insurance, scan and link invoices or other documents to billing files
• May assist in revisions to invoices
• Other accountingor clericalduties as assigned

• HS Diploma or GED required

• Actively pursuing a degree in Accounting or related field and/or an interest in the field
• 0-2 years related experience
