About the Job:The Sr Director, National Training Program (NTP) Consulting leads the Network Office Relationship Management (NORMs) team to design, develop, implement, and measure field programs and projects/sessions directed by our company's distribution strategy. This role provides strategic leadership for the NORMs team focused on deepening field leader engagement and driving advancement of local and enterprise NTP success measures. The role requires partnering closely with Performance team on New Advisor Success strategy, having strong field consulting skills, ability to influence field leaders, and strategic thinking to define future vision of NTP consulting.

What you'll do:

  • Drive execution: Lead NTP workstreams from strategy through execution; ensuring accountability by translating strategic objectives into clear milestones and measure progress against milestones. Unblock dependencies and resolve issues quickly.

  • Scale Value Delivery: Establish execution rigor through monitoring key program OKRs and KPIs and sequencing work to deliver the most value to NM quickly.

  • Shape the strategic narrative: Develop and deliver executive-level communications, progress reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, translating complexity into clarity.

  • Problem Solver: Identify and eliminate systemic barriers, process bottlenecks, and organization friction that impede attainment of shared success measures

  • Credibility: Build credibility and influence across field leaders and field function partners to operate as a trusted advisor and deliver results through influence

  • Define clear ownership: Orchestrate decision forums and meeting cadences that enable, highquality decisions and clear ownership.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of financial, insurance product and/or operations experience with proven success providing strategic leadership for initiatives or projects.

  • Strong understanding of Northwestern Mutual's products, distribution system, field operations and support needs.

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and agility, including ability to see ahead clearly; anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, with broad knowledge and perspective.

  • Strong interest in people development and management, with experience building, leading and driving strong engagement of high-performing teams. Experience managing people leaders strongly desired.

  • Proven track record of integrating innovative thinking and continuous improvement to drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across various functions and levels necessary to achieve outcomes and ensure strategic alignment.

  • Highly effective communication skills to build consensus, sell ideas and influence change; leading and collaborating with home office and field clients, group presentation and facilitation, and recommending strategy/approach to business unit leadership team.

  • Proven experience in creating and delivering compelling messaging, packaging, and communication of field presentations/programs. Demonstrated ability to turn concept into a field deliverable.

  • Proven experience leading all phases of project or program development including ongoing administration and consultative support.

  • Experience must demonstrate comfort in dealing with ambiguity and ability to change direction on the fly.

  • Must be able to influence change at times without management authority by influencing others to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Pay Range - Start:

$160,000.00

Pay Range - End:

$240,000.00

Geographic Specific Pay Structure:

Structure 110:

$176,000.00 USD - $264,000.00 USD

Structure 115:

$184,000.00 USD - $276,000.00 USD
