Description Mid Coast HospitalService/Maintenance Support Summary Maine's Best Retirement Community - Thornton Oaks in Brunswick has an immediate opening for aFull-Time Cook! Do you love food? Are you creative? Thornton Oaks Independent Retirement community is looking for someone to fill a full-time cook position. You will have the opportunity to have input into menus, cook soups, stews, and entrees from scratch, and offer assistance on putting together special event platters. You will work with a small team under close supervision of the Manager of Food & Nutrition Services. Our cooks perform a variety of duties normally executed in serving customers, preparing food, transporting and emptying trash receptacles, cleaning the kitchen, server storing stock, and checking and recording hot and cold temperatures as well as washing dishes.
