Description

The COO is accountable for strategic and operational planning for KING AEROSPACE Commercial Corporation (KACC), KING AEROSPACE, Inc. (KAI), and KING AEROSPACE Arkansas ensuring profitability, efficiency, and compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. The COO collaborates with the President and Chairman to execute the company's vision and objectives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.




  1. Oversees daily operations of KACC, KAI, and KA-ARK to ensure profitability, efficiency, compliance, and execution of strategies.
  2. Collaborates with the President, Chairman, Board of Advisors, and senior management to develop strategies, objectives, and policies, primarily reporting to the President.
  3. Partners with the Chairman and President for strategic leadership, overseeing daily operations, financial affairs, and business development, while maintaining the company's Servant Leadership culture.
  4. Leads business development efforts, including identifying new revenue opportunities, generating government contract proposals, and oversees financial performance.
  5. Maintains compliance with contractual, FAA, and regulatory commitments.
  6. Develops annual operational and capital budgets for KACC, KA-ARK, and KAI.
  7. Tracks and manages company assets, financial performance, and operational efficiency to ensure President has full insight into operations.
  8. Mentors and develops the management team, ensuring succession plans are in place.
  9. Provides regular reports to the President and Chairman on operational performance and strategic execution. The COO reports to the Chairman largely through the President and ensures the President is mindful of all reporting.
  10. Drives information technology strategies to meet business needs.
  11. Ensures government and military programs meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:




  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years in Aerospace Management or related industry.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma or other lean management practices preferred.
  • Strong leadership, operational, and business development skills.



LANGUAGE ABILITY:



Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.



MATH ABILITY:



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.



REASONING ABILITY:



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.



COMPUTER ABILITY:



To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; internet software; spreadsheet software; presentation software; word processing software; and internal HRIS software.




  • Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Management Information System for Aviation, email.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:



This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office and communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position also requires moderate to frequent travel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Direct supervision of all managers and oversight of operational sites and programs.
