Position Summary: The Senior Digital Marketing Analyst is a key driver of our digital analytics function, taking a lead role in architecting measurement frameworks and executing the optimization strategy for Gordon Food Service. This role owns the process of uncovering deep, actionable insights from complex datasets to make strategic recommendations to key stakeholders. As a subject matter expert, this individual will also guide the implementation of analytics and data privacy requirements across our e-commerce, websites (including Shopify), and mobile app platforms, translating needs between legal, technical, and marketing teams. The Senior Analyst is essential in championing a data-driven culture across our digital teams. What you will do:
Lead the development of the digital analytics roadmap, translating ambiguous business questions into clear analytical work plans and deliverables. Design and automate scalable reporting and dashboarding solutions, focusing on strategic KPIs and data storytelling to communicate findings to all stakeholder levels. Own the end-to-end A/B and multivariate testing program, from hypothesis generation and strategic planning to analysis and presentation of results. Architect and govern the company's analytics and tagging framework across all digital platforms, including websites (Shopify), mobile apps (iOS/Android), and marketing campaigns. Manage and configure the company's consent management platform (e.g., Ketch) to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Ensure data integrity and accuracy through robust validation processes, serving as a UAT resource for marketing and product releases. Act as a key consultant to business leaders and product owners, defining measurement strategies for new digital initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison between technical (developers), legal, and marketing stakeholders to translate requirements and ensure alignment. Manage relationships and project timelines with third-party analytics agency partners to ensure their work aligns with strategic goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the table:
Bachelor Degree - Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field, or commensurate experience. (Preferred)
Five to eight years of experience in digital analytics or a related field, with a proven track record of leading complex projects and influencing business outcomes highly preferred. Demonstrates expert-level analytical and statistical skills to model complex problems and provide predictive, actionable insights. Translates data into compelling narratives to influence senior stakeholders and drive business decisions. Proactively identifies critical business questions and opportunities through data exploration, leading independent research to inform strategic direction. Must have excellent project management, administration and organization, presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and strong problem-solving capabilities. Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment. Must be willing and able to take on new responsibilities with a strong desire to succeed and produce results. Applies technical knowledge and business acumen to develop measurements and tracking mechanisms that inform business decisions. Carefully listens to understand business problems from internal customers and provides solutions to meet those needs. Possesses a deep understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, including attribution modeling, audience segmentation, and the technical aspects of campaign tracking and optimization. Demonstrates a strong understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and their application to digital analytics and tracking technologies. Proven ability to manage vendor and agency relationships, including project scoping, execution, and performance management. Experience with mobile app analytics and tracking methodologies for both iOS and Android platforms.
