TheRouteDriver is responsible fortransporting transformer units and materials to their assigned locations, ensuring timelydelivery in a safe and efficient manner. Compliance with all safety requirements, transportation regulations and company policies are essential functions of this role.

  • Operate trucks safely, following all traffic laws and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload transformer units and materials, ensuring that items are properly secured during transit.
  • Plan and follow the best routes, taking into account traffic and weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage an active list of customers and ensure customers are serviced according to the frequency of picks upsestablishedby the commercial team
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections tomaintainits safe operation,identifyingand reporting any mechanical or electrical issues that require attention.
  • Communicate effectively with teammembers, dispatchersand clients,updating ondelivery statuses andpossible delays.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and personal protective equipment whenrequired.
  • Complete delivery logs and other necessary paperwork accurately andin a timely manner.
  • Communicate courteously with other drivers, pedestrians, and road users.
  • Interacting professionally with clients and notating customer preferences, acting as a contact for the company
  • Compensationfor this roleishourly.Drivers can expect an average of40-50 hoursperweek; however,this can vary based on business needs.
  • HS diploma/GEDrequired.
  • 2 years working experience as a truck driverrequired.
  • Valid Class A CDLrequired.
  • OTR flatbed experiencerequired.
  • Ability tooperateboth manual and automatic transmission vehiclesrequired.
  • ELD (Electronic Logging Device) experience preferred.
  • Able tomaintainHAZMAT endorsement.
  • Clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and repair, includingidentifyingand reporting any mechanical or electrical issues
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention todetailand can work in a team environment.
  • Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values.
  • Complete company compliance and safety training whenrequired.
  • Ability toworka flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Driving for long durations
  • Bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50lbs when unloading and securing cargo.
