In the role of Landscape Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
  • Work under the direction of registered Landscape Architect to assist in development of site design projects, from concept design to construction documentation
  • Understand that assignments have specified objectives and require investigation of many variables, including site analysis, building operation, vehicular and pedestrian traffic, site grading and storm drainage
  • Conduct site visits and analyses, and assist the project Landscape Architect with illustration of design using combination of hand-drawn and computer-rendered graphics
  • Provide AutoCAD production support during concept and schematic design, design development, and construction document phases
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD+LandFX, Revit+Environment, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Internships or prior work experience as Landscape Designer or role within Construction Industry
  • Hand sketching, drafting and visual communication skills
  • Strong design sensibility: creativity and curiosity, research and application, including confidence in iterative concept exploration through multiple platforms
  • Understanding of technical aspects of landscape architecture and associated terminology including: construction materials and processes; grading, drainage and site utility fundamentals; plant materials and State of California water use regulations
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experience
  • Photoshop a plus
  • Ability to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $83,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
