Position Summary

The Chemist I is an entry-level role supporting Quality Control laboratory operations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position performs routine testing, analysis, and documentation in compliance with SOPs, cGMP, and safety standards. The role works under direct supervision and has no direct reports.

• Perform QC laboratory testing in areas such as Raw Materials, Finished Products, Stability, and Analytical Method Validation
• Conduct wet chemistry and dissolution testing (UV and HPLC)
• Operate laboratory equipment including LOD, ROI, Karl Fischer, particle size analysis, DSC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TLC, and related instruments
• Document results accurately in GMP systems and maintain laboratory records
• Perform basic troubleshooting of test results and equipment issues
• Assist with protocol and report preparation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment
• Follow all GMP, SOP, and EHS requirements
• Train laboratory technicians as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmaceutical or regulated laboratory experience
• Basic laboratory and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
