Our retail client's Seller Education team is seeking a high-caliber Instructional Writer with a deep specialization in video scriptwriting and multimedia storytelling. In this role, you will be the primary creative force behind the Seller Academy video series, transforming complex marketplace processes into engaging, visual, and concise educational content.

While you will support the design of comprehensive learning materials and maintain the LMS, your primary mission is to script and produce video assets that drive seller success. You will work in a dynamic, startup-style culture backed by the resources of a Fortune #1 company.

You'll sweep us off your feet if...

  • You are a Scriptwriting Pro: You know how to write for the ear and the eye, creating narratives that simplify technical eCommerce workflows without losing accuracy.
  • You're a Visual Storyteller: You can take a raw technical brief and turn it into a compelling storyboard that informs production and animation teams.
  • You Master Tone: You can pivot between a professional corporate voice and a relatable, peer-to-peer "startup" energy for external audiences.
  • You Capture the Details: You are proficient at capturing screenshots and visual references to provide clear direction for video editors and animators.
  • You Thrive on Feedback: You are comfortable in a rapid-fire review environment, giving and receiving candid feedback to ensure every script is "production-ready."
  • You are a Multi-Tool Designer: Beyond scripts, you can develop curricula, conduct needs analysis, and manage end-to-end eLearning modules.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Instructional Design, eLearning, or Educational Content Writing, with a heavy emphasis on video scripting.
  • 4+ years of general Copywriting experience for technical or external audiences.
  • Industry Experience: Proven background in tech, eCommerce, or SaaS sectors.
  • Video-Centric Portfolio: You must provide a portfolio that showcases your ability to translate complex topics into clear, succinct, and engaging video scripts and storyboards.
  • Project Management: Experience using Asana or similar tools to manage production timelines.

Portfolio Requirements (CRITICAL)

Your portfolio should specifically highlight:

  • Video Scripts & Storyboards: Examples of how you moved a project from an instructional concept to a finished video script.
  • Design Process: Brief explanations of the problem you were solving and the instructional model used (e.g., how the script solved a specific learner pain point).
  • Technical Translation: Writing samples that show your ability to take a technical software "how-to" and turn it into a human-centered narrative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Video Production Tools: Hands-on experience with Vyond, Camtasia, or other AI-driven video production platforms.
  • LMS & CMS Knowledge: Experience managing content within platforms like Contentstack or Salesforce.
  • Agile Savvy: Familiarity with agile instructional design processes (rapid prototyping and iterative feedback).
  • Self-Starter Mentality: A passion for processes, technical tools, and staying ahead of educational video trends.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48.00/hr to $53.00/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
