Requisition ID req36361 Working Title Program Coordinator Position Grade 10 Position Summary The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The UNM Center for Development and Disability is seeking a Program Coordinator who will provide administration coordination to a team of early intervention staff and clinical providers. The FOCUS program is an early intervention program that provides families with early intervention services and collaborates with UNM Family and Community medical clinics to provide access to comprehensive family medical care. Most of the families served by the program are considered at risk due to medical, social, and/or environmental difficulties, including but not limited to parental substance use, mental health concerns, and poverty. All services are provided from a family-centered, relationship-based, comprehensive support service philosophy. Services are provided primarily in family homes or community settings near the family's home. The majority of referrals to FOCUS are newborn infants with prenatal substance exposure and/ or medical difficulties at birth. The Program Coordinator will coordinate day-to-day operations related to program activities, data entry/management, quality assurance, data auditing and reporting, and general administrative needs. They will work with a team of other administrative personnel to carry out training, event planning, preparation, and post-event activities. The Program Coordinator will create program reports for required EI activities to ensure timely completion of services and timely billing. The position will also prepare data reports for NM Family Infant Toddler's quarterly and annual program performance reviews. The position will also audit and analyze client records to assure that the program complies with regulations. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will assist with purchasing, travel reimbursements and production of marketing materials. Lastly, the individual may supervise and/or lead lower-grade administrative staff around records management. The hired individual will demonstrate the following experience and skills: * Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated through the interview process; * Superior eye for detail, high level of organizational and coordination skills; * Ability to work in a position with a diverse group of clinical and managerial staff and clinical community partners; * Ability to share projects and work effectively with a team of administrative and clinical staff; * Familiarity with diverse communities, including those of individuals with developmental disabilities, communities in need, and high-risk families; * Experience working in a related field serving diverse and challenging clients; * Ability to be flexible while staying professional and positive in a changing environment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
