Assumes responsibilities for a large branch office with deposits generally $50 to $75 million, and FTE greater than 4.0. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Confident and Enthusiastic Leadership to Branch Staff Primary responsibility is to provide leadership to branch staff, provide an exceptionally high level of service, and increase the performance and profitability of the branch. The Manager bears ultimate responsibility for the branch's performance and profitability. A key duty is to be able to lead the branch by building and helping their staff in their daily activities. Must be able to effectively communicate and work with their staff to increase their branch's performance. Must ensure the staff is aware of the branch's objectives and performance standards, as well as the team member's individual performance, and promote success within the branch. Must also work to train and coach newly hired and long-term employees to make sure everyone is performing at an exceptional level. Must be the bridge between staff and Senior Leadership. Prepares reports and informs Senior Leader about the performance of their branch. Must be able to communicate company-wide changes to products, functions and operations. Motivate branch staff to optimum and increased performance and success, both for individuals and for the branch Responsible for the overall success of a branch. Must work to ensure they are providing the highest possible degree of services and products to their customers. Managers are constantly working to develop new strategies to reach their branch's performance goals. Must develop and promote new products and services for customers as well as be proactive in making business calls and participating in the community through networking and involvement on boards. Possess expert knowledge of all products and services, with emphasis on deposits, consumer loans (including mortgages), business relationships and investments Responsible to know all products and services offered by Mascoma; including all deposit products both consumer and business; all consumer loans, including Home Equity products; knowledge of mortgage products leading to referrals to mortgage team colleagues; Cash Management offerings for businesses and municipalities, and knowledge of investments offered by the Bank. Possess expert knowledge in all aspects of branch operations Must be very knowledgeable about the banking industry and be able to perform various banking procedures and operations. These duties may be anything from auditing a teller's drawer to monitoring loans and deposits. Must be aware of banking regulatory matters and proper operational procedures to keep their branch running successfully.
