Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $73,920-$95,495.40. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

  • 1st shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday (Onsite)



Join Our Team as an Electrical Engineer (Early Talent Program)!

We are seeking a full-time electrical engineer who would enjoy a fast paced, dynamic team-based work environment. Rotations typically last for 18 to 24 months after which time the individual is placed in a permanent position. This position is available in Chicago, IL.

You can expect to be challenged and have ample opportunity to prove your worth within an agile, communicative, and fun environment.

Some of our opportunities might include producing electronic design and highly reliable electronic hardware, investigating anomalies in manufacturing, root cause analysis of field returns, and finding and qualifying electronic components for existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

* Designing, simulating, and troubleshooting digital or analog circuits, power supplies or power electronics circuits

* Testing and qualifying electronic circuitry in a laboratory environment

* Writing requirement documents, functional specifications, hardware test plans, and design documentation

* Providing feedback on manufacturing build issues, component issues, and performing component qualification engineering tasks

* Assist in analyzing field returns resulting in product improvement implementation

* Participating in cross-functional teams at multiple geographic locations

* Providing occasional engineering support for existing product lines

What You'll Need To Succeed:

* Must have a Bachelors, or Masters from an accredited university majoring in Electrical Engineering or related major.

* Working knowledge of analog and digital interface circuitry

* Proficiency with relevant lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power analyzer, etc.

* Soldering skills for small surface mount and through hole component

* Must be self-motivated, well organized, and productive with minimal direct supervision

* Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of the following is a plus so please highlight this in your resume

* Designs for power supply or power electronics

* Medium voltage power distribution

* Embedded Firmware development

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Standing: Occasional standing for work

* Lifting: Occasional lifting of controls and test equipment, less than 50 pounds

* Walking: Occasional walking throughout the facility

* Carrying: Occasional carrying of light objects

* Pushing: Infrequent pushing of objects, possibly related to rearrangement work

* Pulling: Infrequent pulling of objects, possibly related to rearrangement work

* Bending: Occasional bending during access to equipment

* Reaching: Infrequent reaching

* Handling: Frequent handling of parts or tools

* Environment: Standard office / desktop workspace
