Role Overview

The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Solution Architect plays a critical role in driving field sales for Lenovo's Data Center portfolio. As a member of the field sales team, you will partner closely with customers, sales teams, and ecosystem partners to design, position, and deliver tailored Data Center solutions that solve complex business challenges.

This role is highly customerfacing and consultative, requiring a blend of deep technical expertise, solutionselling skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships at every level-from technical practitioners to executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customer stakeholders, from technical teams to Csuite executives
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and solution content to a broad customer audience
  • Architect endtoend Data Center solutions using Lenovo products, services, and partner technologies
  • Support and drive sales objectives to meet or exceed bookings and revenue targets
  • Serve as the technical author and subject matter expert for RFPs, RFIs, and proposal responses
  • Lead configurations, demonstrations, and interoperability discussions to meet customer requirements
  • Manage and support customer proofofconcept (PoC) and proofoftechnology (PoT) engagements
  • Represent Lenovo at industry trade shows, events, seminars, and customer briefings
  • Ensure successful deployment of sold solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience postsale

  • Clearly articulate Lenovo's vision, strategy, and architectural approach across a wide range of Data Center solution areas, including:
    • HyperConverged Infrastructure (HCI)
    • High Performance Computing (HPC)
    • Big Data
    • IoT and AI
    • Virtualization and Storage
  • Collaborate effectively with regional sales teams and channel partners to grow solutions business
  • Work closely with integrators, partners, and gotomarket teams to execute territory sales strategies
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve customer outcomes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customerfacing technical role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong consultative selling skills with excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation abilities
  • Selfmotivated, proactive professional capable of driving collaboration across crossfunctional internal teams and customers
  • Proven success leading and winning complex server, storage, and/or networking solutions in Data Center environments
  • Strong ability to engage customers, understand business needs, and align technical solutions accordingly
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and industry events as required

Experience with:

  • Server and desktop virtualization
  • Softwaredefined infrastructure
  • Cloud technologies
  • Storage solutions
  • Business continuity and systems management
  • Data Center operations

Handson experience with:

  • VMware, Linux, HyperV, Windows Server, Nutanix
  • Systems management tools
  • x86 server architectures
  • Familiarity with technologies such as OpenStack, SAP, HPC workloads, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and NetApp storage
  • Experience with IBM and/or Lenovo x86 server platforms
