Job Description

Our mission is to recover warranty costs associated with supplier-related issues through strategic collaboration with cross-functional partners, including Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and Legal. This role requires the ability to influence the outcome, apply sound judgment in complex commercial and technical discussions, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.



The Warranty Recovery Specialist plays a critical role in developing and strengthening leadership capabilities while delivering measurable business results. Through supplier negotiation, issue resolution, and decision-making, incumbents build core leadership competencies such as strategic thinking, accountability, stakeholder influence, and risk management. Success in this role requires ownership of outcomes, the ability to develop strategies, and confidence engaging at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field
  • Strong understanding of global commodity strategy development and supplier relationship management
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can effectively interface with cross functional teams and all levels of senior management
  • Strong communication and commodity leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand basic technical topics
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to establish partnerships both internally and externally to influence without direct authority


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree
  • Automotive purchasing experience
  • Data analysis experience
  • Finance/accounting experience
