The Role

Are you a seasoned technical lead with a mastery of electrical systems and a passion for mentoring? We are seeking a Senior Designer to join our NDC office. This is a high-impact role designed for a technical expert who can navigate complex design challenges and provide top-tier support to our Functional Test teams.

As a Senior Designer, you will do more than execute; you will influence. You'll be expected to take ownership of the design process, troubleshoot the most challenging electrical test systems, and ensure our test systems are world-class.

The Impact You'll Make

As a senior member of the team, your influence spans the entire engineering lifecycle. You will:

  • Lead Concept Development: Architect high-quality, cost-appropriate engineering concepts that set the standard for customer satisfaction.

  • Expert Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical escalation point for Functional Test teams, resolving complex electrical schematic and system issues.

  • Master the Value Stream: Demonstrate and champion a deep understanding of the full value stream-from Conceptualization and Design to Commercialization and Sustainment.

  • Advanced Verification: Oversee and execute critical qualification and verification activities, ensuring test systems meet rigorous performance benchmarks.

  • Process Integrity: Ensure all project documentation and design analyses strictly adhere to quality management procedures while identifying areas for process improvement.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for a leader who pairs technical brilliance with a disciplined approach to engineering.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Significant experience in electrical design and functional testing (typically 5+ years of progressive experience).

  • Advanced Technical Skill: Mastery of design tools, lab equipment, and electrical schematic creation.

  • Proven Track Record: Experience delivering engineering design services through the full product development and commercialization cycle.

  • Education: An Associate's Degree is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.

  • Leadership Qualities: The ability to mentor junior designers and collaborate across disciplines to meet project milestones.
