Compensation: $23.41-$23.41/hour

Tessera is seeking an organized General Clerk ll with a positive and professional attitude. The General Clerk II compiles and records work order data relating to labor, parts, and quality control, and other aspects such as vehicle tracking and customer service

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Sort and distribute work orders and compile data for labor calculations.

  • Collect all data for accurate shop operations.

  • Maintain accurate records in IBM Maximo and pull data for reporting to the government via Maximo.

  • Maintain accurate service records both digitally and manually.

  • Verify and monitor production reports for accuracy.

  • Research, initiate, draft, and complete pre-printed service packets for assigned/designated customers equipmentserviced.

  • Update work order statuses accurately and in real time results in customer readiness and satisfaction.

  • Communicates consistently with the shop leads and mechanics regarding any issues or concerns with vehicles/workorders (i.e., parts inventory, installing parts, status change).

  • Works hand in hand with Scheduler to prioritize assets to ensure the highest level of readiness in support of the fleetmanagment staff.

  • Ensure that the type and quantity of parts and materials specified on the job order are correct and filled according to priority.

  • Work closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Support on-site inspections bi-weekly as coordinated and approved by Operations Supervisor.

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor, ensures company rules, regulations, and policies are followed to include Safety, Fire and Security regulations.

  • Provide additional support to Schedulers as required and where appropriate.

  • Provide customer support at the customer service desk.

  • Ensure compliance with the quality assurance programs.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience/in transportation.

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in computer programs, including MS Word, Excel, Preferred SAMS/FEDLOG/MARINE CORPS SYSTEMS and Internet Explorer.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
