Job Summary As a Plant Operational Excellence Leader, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes, optimizing organizational performance, and promoting digital solutions. Your primary focus will be on identifying inefficiencies, eliminating waste, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and quality across various business functions. By combining your expertise in process improvement methodologies and digital technologies, you will contribute to the company's overall success and competitiveness.

Salary Range: $73,614-$103,000 annually +6% Annual Bonus

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Training and Education: Provide training, mentoring, and facilitation to employees at all levels to promote a culture of continuous improvement and empower them with the tools and methodologies necessary to drive positive change. Develop and prepare training materials to support these activities.
  • Lean Six Sigma Methodology: Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and tools to improve operational productivity, reduce defects, and minimize variations in processes. Be able to apply tools such as value stream mapping, line balancing, pull systems, quick change-over, DMAIC, basic statistical analysis, Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE) measurement, and visual controls.
  • Process Analysis: Conduct analyses of existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement. Use data-driven insights, including data analytics and performance metrics, to assess process performance to proactively identify areas for enhancement in different departments and functions.
  • Manage and Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Develop and implement improvement plans with clear objectives. Mentor and coach team members to use appropriate tools. Coordinate with affected departments and functions. Monitor the progress of plans to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected benefits.
  • Digitization and Technology: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive digitization strategy that aligns with the organization's goals. Identify key areas for digitization and automation to improve overall business performance. Research and evaluate digital tools, software, and technologies that can drive process automation and optimization. Lead the implementation of selected solutions and provide necessary training and support to ensure successful adoption.
  • Innovation: Seek innovations to drive the elevation of operational excellence. Research industry best practices and benchmarks to identify opportunities for adopting innovative methods and technologies. Collaborate with other Operational Excellence Leaders across business units to establish standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical experience required. Background in computer science or similar technology preferred.
  • 3 years related experience required.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification required. Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Proven team leadership skills, the ability to effectively negotiate, influence, motivate, and mentor all levels of personnel using written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Supervisory or Project Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong root cause and corrective action skills are a plus.
  • A broad understanding of manufacturing processes and systems desirable.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, with personnel at all levels of the company. May also be required to communicate with external suppliers and customers regarding both proactive and reactive issues/concerns.
  • Must be able to manage situations of responsibility without authority by leading and coaching other Team Leaders to drive their projects forward
