The opportunity

As the Chief Nursing Administrator/Academic Dean of Online Product Health, you will provide strategic leadership for SNHU's online Nursing academic portfolio within the Global Campus, including continuing professional development (NCPD) offerings. You will oversee program quality, growth, accreditation and licensure compliance, and overall portfolio performance through collaboration and external partner engagement.

You will lead a diverse Nursing team, oversee required clinical and immersion experiences, and ensure efficient use of people, budget, and resources to support scale. With a focus on student success, you will use data-informed decision-making to manage risk and foster inclusive, high-quality learning environments for students and faculty.

What you'll do:

  • Set vision, strategy, and direction for the online Nursing portfolio according to Provost and university priorities.
  • Lead interdepartmental and university-wide collaboration to support portfolio health, scale, and execution across delivery modalities.
  • Guide multi-year portfolio planning, including budget development, resourcing, and risk mitigation.
  • Translate portfolio trends and data into applicable, forward-looking recommendations.
  • Optimize program performance, student outcomes, retention, and engagement.
  • Oversee required clinical and immersion experiences. Support the review and execution of clinical and academic partnership agreements, in coordination with appropriate internal partners.
  • Ensure accreditation, regulatory, licensure, and internal policy compliance.
  • Lead program lifecycle management, including continuous improvement, revisions, and sunsetting.
  • Lead new program development and product refresh projects with care for institutional strategy and market demand.
  • Partner on instructional design enhancements and use of learning technologies.
  • Represent SNHU Nursing with accreditors, professional organizations, and peers; maintain active professional standing.
  • Develop leaders and teams grounded in university values.
  • Ensure resource allocation and fiscally responsible decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with institutional leaders on processes, governance, reporting, and compliance audits.
  • Improve ways of working, people, and budget to support scale, efficiency, and portfolio performance.

What we're looking for:

  • Earned doctoral degree required; graduate degree in Nursing required.
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Professional certification as Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) required
  • 8+ years of progressively increasing leadership roles in higher education administration.
  • Experience driving key student success metrics and elevating institutional performance in higher education.
  • Demonstrated accomplishment in the administration of online Nursing degree programs, with a focus on measurable, student-centered outcomes.
  • Experience in managing budgets and leading complex, multi-partner projects to successful completion.
  • Experience representing Nursing programs with external partners, including accreditors, boards of nursing, and professional organizations, to support accreditation, compliance, and program quality.
  • Experience meeting compliance standards of state boards of nursing, and regional and national nursing programmatic accreditation bodies.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $113,908.00 - $182,287.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $125,868.00 - $170,293.00.
