Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time, limited term employment (LTE) position available in our Lansing, MI office for an Entry-Level CAD Technician, for a maximum of six (6) months. Depending on work load and staffing needs, potential for full-time permanent employment may be available, thereafter.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing civil engineering design drawings and construction plans related to airports
  • Completing minor design calculations
  • Collecting and reviewing data provided by teammates for inclusion in airport layout plans
  • Preparing record drawings utilizing as-built redlines and other construction record data
  • Reviewing for quality assurance and quality control
  • Maintaining company CAD standards
  • Attend internal project meetings
  • Some travel may be required

Successful candidates must have:

  • Associate degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field

--OR--

  • If no degree, must have at least two (2) years of relevant experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

  • CAD design software, Civil 3D (preferred), and/or Revit
  • GIS software and analysis
  • Interest in aviation/airport development
  • Organizational skills
  • Working with team members in different offices
  • Microsoft Office software
