Logistics Supervisor

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~17.000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join our Supply Chain Management team and lead the day-to-day coordination and performance of our logistics associates across inventory control, material handling, and outbound shipping. In this role, you will help ensure safe, efficient, and accurate material flow across physically separated areas of the facility while supporting operational stability and continuous improvement.

What is the role about?

Do you enjoy leading a hands-on team to deliver safe, on-time shipping performance? Are you energized by solving inventory and material-flow problems using data and structured root-cause thinking? Do you like partnering across functions to stabilize operations and improve processes? As Logistics Supervisor, you'll guide a team of up to 20 associates and collaborate with the Plant Leadership Team, a cross-functional Logistics Core Team and the broader Campus Transportation Network to keep material moving and customers supported.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Lead and develop a team of up to ~20 hourly associates across inventory control, material handling, and packing/shipping.
  • Coordinate daily material flow between physically separated areas to minimize delays, shortages, mis-picks, and shipment errors.
  • Monitor labor utilization and workload balance; make real-time adjustments to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Drive performance management including semi-annual evaluations, coaching, engagement touchpoints, and recognition.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and transaction discipline; partner on cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy root-cause actions.
  • Ensure outbound shipments meet customer, quality, and transportation requirements (packaging, documentation, and timeliness).
  • Serve as escalation point for disruptions impacting inventory accuracy, material flow, or shipping performance.
  • Lead the plant Logistics Core Team; facilitate regular meetings, prioritize issues, and drive structured problem-solving.
  • Participate in the Campus Transportation Network and support carrier performance reviews and logistics service development.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, productivity, material flow, inventory accuracy, and customer service.

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or material handling operations.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience managing hourly teams in an operational environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control, material flow, and shipping processes.
  • Experience with performance management, coaching, and employee development.
  • Proficiency with warehouse systems, ERP/MRP systems, and basic data analysis tools.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD).
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or continuous improvement initiatives (Lean familiarity a plus).
  • Preferred: Exposure to transportation management or third-party logistics partnerships.

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future.
  • Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training, tuition reimbursement, success coaching, and further education opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefit package (to include medical, dental, vision) and 401(k) savings with company match.
  • Compensation is competitive and includes bonus opportunities.
  • Work-life balance encouraged through our 10 company-paid holidays, paid time off, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs (financial, mental, and physical health and wellbeing), and employee discounts.
  • Employees work in a safety-first, climate controlled, clean manufacturing facility with utilization of Lean practices and ergonomic workstations to enhance productivity and comfort.
  • On-site amenities such as cafeteria, gym, health clinic, and ergonomic support, to foster a convenient and health-conscious workplace environment.
