Receptionist JLL What this job involves:

As JLL's Receptionist in Huntsville, Alabama, you'll serve as the welcoming face of our client's facility, playing a vital role in maintaining security, enhancing visitor experience, and ensuring seamless daily operations. This customer-facing position combines front desk excellence with administrative support, where you'll manage visitor access control, coordinate building services, and serve as the first point of contact for all guests and employees. Your professional presence and organizational skills will directly contribute to creating a secure, efficient, and welcoming environment that reflects both JLL's and our client's commitment to operational excellence.

What your day to day will look like:
  • Greeting all visitors and employees with professionalism while managing check-in procedures and issuing photo ID and access control badges to contractors and guests, ensuring facility security protocols are consistently maintained.
  • Answering incoming phone calls promptly and directing them to appropriate personnel while managing the reception area with a focus on creating positive first impressions for all guests.
  • Supporting conference room scheduling and coordination for the client, ensuring meeting spaces are properly allocated and prepared for use throughout the day.
  • Processing facility-related maintenance requests by submitting tickets through Corrigo and tracking issues to resolution while maintaining communication with the facilities management team.
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support including maintaining updated building contact lists for key JLL personnel, refreshing the Concierge Playbook as needed, and assisting the onsite FM team with various assignments.
  • Managing multiple simultaneous responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and business needs throughout the workday.
  • Maintaining organized records and documentation while handling various duties that support overall building operations and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Minimum 2 years of Receptionist or Administrative experience in a professional office environment, demonstrating consistent success in customer facing roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or relevant college coursework that supports administrative and professional office operations.
  • Professional experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced front desk setting where you've successfully managed competing priorities and maintained composure under pressure.
  • Proven excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse audiences including executives, employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of representing JLL and the client professionally in all interactions both in person and through written correspondence.
  • Proficiency with desktop computing platforms (PC) and standard business applications including MS Office Suite and Microsoft Teams for daily operational tasks.
  • Familiarity with access control systems, visitor management software, or security badge issuance processes in corporate or government facility environments.
  • Experience using facility maintenance ticketing systems such as Corrigo or similar work order management platforms.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in a stationary seated position at the reception desk for extended periods throughout an 8-hour workday, with capability to climb stairs and move about the facility as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, including office supplies, packages, and materials required for daily receptionist duties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with flexibility for overtime (as needed)
