Summary of the Job:

The Sr, Analyst, Credit Risk is the subject matter expert regarding the monitoring and quality control processes within Credit Risk Administration. The role is accountable for duties including credit related operations across the enterprise, business analysis for both consumer and business lending, and monitoring potentially suspicious activity on customer accounts.

About This Role:

Duties may include:
Perform daily quality control reviews of Consumer Credit Card operations and/or Retail Credit Operations
Enhance quality control plans as processes change/adapt to the regulatory environment and as strategies are updated and introduced to the credit and servicing processes
Prepare quality control exception reports to determine credit trends and potential issues
Forecast and perform trend analysis identifying risks and opportunities by product
Investigate fraud scams and recovery of funds from these scams
Utilize analysis to train/raise awareness with frontline staff of trending scams and suspicious transaction activity

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Technical Expertise:

  • Sound knowledge of ACH operations, NACHA rules, and ACH credit risk management
  • Strong understanding of merchant acquiring, card processing, and ISO sponsorship models
  • Experience with payment processor relationships and underwriting coordination
  • Expertise in credit analysis, financial statement review, and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, SAR filing procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for credit analysis and portfolio monitoring

Analytical & Communication Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on payments risk
  • Excellent business writing skills for credit memos, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple underwriting requests and monitoring activities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy in credit decisioning and documentation

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong relationship-building with internal partners and third-party processors
  • Excellent oral and written communication at all organizational levels
  • Collaborative approach to cross-functional problem-solving
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing diverse credit portfolios

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of previous experience in the banking or payments industry, with emphasis on ACH and/or merchant acquiring credit risk
  • Lending authority experience in payments or commercial credit
  • Knowledge of ACH operations, merchant processing, and card network regulations
  • Experience with third-party processor relationships
  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML compliance and SAR filing requirements
  • Advanced analytical and risk assessment capabilities
  • Experience developing and maintaining credit policies and procedures.
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $81,662.00-$134,741.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
