Your Job As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will define, develop, and lead the implementation of new manufacturing processes and continuous improvements to existing processes supporting the production of missioncritical aerospace and defense electronics. You will ensure manufacturing excellence by balancing quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance in highly controlled environments. Our Team Our manufacturing team operates in a highreliability, highly regulated aerospace and defense production environment, where precision, discipline, and continuous improvement are essential. We work closely across manufacturing engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and product engineering to bring complex electronic products from development through fullrate production. Our facilities support lowtomedium volume, highmix manufacturing, requiring strong process ownership, rigorous qualification, and datadriven decision making. Team members are empowered to improve processes, implement new technologies, and influence how products are built-while meeting strict customer, regulatory, and quality requirements. What You Will Do You will serve as a manufacturing technical leader, partnering closely with engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and external partners. Key responsibilities include: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, yield, safety, and throughput Provide daily technical support to production, troubleshooting issues impacting quality, delivery and throughput. Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, design engineering, supply chain, and operations to meet business objectives. Lead rootcause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions Analyze process plans and develop leanbased manufacturing layouts and workforce utilization strategies Develop, execute, and document comprehensive process qualification activities, including: PFMEAs Quality Control Plans First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements Process capability and statistical studies Lead costsavings and qualityimprovement initiatives from concept through implementation Design and release simple tooling, jigs, and fixtures using PTC Creo Develop and communicate Statements of Work (SOWs) for complex capital equipment purchases Conduct detailed onsite supplier assessments and audits Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to product engineering during new product development Develop accurate manufacturing cost models and maintain data integrity within manufacturing systems Identify and justify costreduction opportunities, including ROI and business impact Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies in all aspects of qualification and problem solving Represent manufacturing engineering during customer visits, audits, and regulatory engagements Anticipate and communicate the direct and indirect impacts of proposed solutions on quality, cost, delivery, and operator satisfaction Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience Five to ten years of manufacturing or process engineering experience Experience developing and qualifying manufacturing processes in regulated environments Strong technical writing and documentation skills Ability to analyze data, define problems, and draw valid, datadriven conclusions Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and statistical analysis Ability to collaborate effectively across crossfunctional teams What Will Put You Ahead Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highreliability, missioncritical industries Handson experience with Six Sigma tools and structured problemsolving methodologies Experience supporting customer audits and regulatory requirements Familiarity with digital factory concepts and manufacturing system connectivity Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences Ability to influence outcomes and drive change without direct authority At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
