The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory to include performing analyses; setup, operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. Job Duty 1 -
Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments.

Job Duty 2 -
Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.

Job Duty 3 -
Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.

Job Duty 4 -
May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.

Job Duty 5 -
Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct research in cyberphysical network forensics, focusing on Ethernetbased and automotive communication protocols.
• Develop and apply threatmodeling frameworks and resilience strategies to secure modern automotive architectures against cyberattacks.
• Design, build, and maintain hardwareintheloop (HIL) testbeds to support security testing and validation.
• Collaborate with industry partners to integrate research findings into vehicle systems and architectures.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to document research progress and project milestones.

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience

Preferred Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Current enrollment in a graduate program (Masters or Doctorate) strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing and optimizing intrusion detection and prevention systems for automotive networks (e.g., CAN, automotive Ethernet).
• Handson experience converting Pythonbased detection models into optimized C++ for embedded edge execution on microcontrollers.
• Expertise in anomaly detection techniques, including signal temporal logic mining, PCA, and invariant rule mining.
• Experience extracting and analyzing vehicle data frames and deploying prototype hardware on physical vehicle platforms for realtime validation.
• Experience using highperformance computing clusters and GPU servers to train machine learning and AI models for cybersecurity applications.

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures specific to assigned lab. Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications is required.
