Aquatics & Facility Operations Coordinator, FRS, provides operational leadership and day-to-day management of the Lombardi Recreation Center’s aquatic spaces, programs, and student staff, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and well-maintained environment for the University of Nevada, Reno community. This position oversees all aspects of aquatic operations, including compliance with state regulations, risk management, staffing and facility maintenance, while also contributing to programming, teaching/instruction, scheduling, and fiscal management for the Lombardi Recreation Pool and other adjacent Fitness and Recreational Sports (FRS) spaces. The coordinator plays a central role in student development through recruitment, training, and supervision of lifeguards and head lifeguards, supports academic courses and community partnerships, and collaborators with university departments to maximize use of FRS spaces. This position reports to the Director of Fitness and Recreational Sports. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
