Description FOUR roles - intentionally not identical (one role needs to be second shift (approx. 10am-7pm, 11 AM - 8 PM): 2 baseline platform engineers (similar skill sets and scope) 1 engineer with stronger automation, debugging depth, or project leadership 1 specialized focus, potentially around liquid cooling or mechanical/system integration Candidates may be stronger in different areas; the team values complementary skill sets rather than clones. The team supports bring up, testing, validation, release, and lifecycle management of non production systems. Inherit newly built lab or data center environments after build out and ensure systems remain stable, operational, and test ready. Platforms supported include: oEnterprise (DGX, workstations, liquid cooled enterprise systems) oTegra (Robotics and Automotive) oCompute (build/compile servers; largely remote capable) Engineers are expected to: oWork hands-on with hardware oDebug issues across hardware, OS, firmware, networking, and automation oOwn systems end to end in failure prone, pre production environments Core Responsibilities Platform & System Ownership Own the bring up, validation, and lifecycle management of pre production systems across: oEnterprise platforms (DGX, workstations, liquid cooled enterprise systems) oTegra platforms (Robotics, Automotive) oCompute systems used for software build and compilation Hardware & Software Debugging Perform advanced troubleshooting across: oHardware (boards, GPUs, CPUs, interconnects) oOperating systems (Linux variants and other OS environments) oFirmware / flashing / board enablement oNetworking & connectivity issues Debug systems that are intentionally non production and failure prone, ensuring issues are caught internally rather than by customers Automation & Process Improvement Use scripting, tooling, and automation to: oValidate platform health oAccelerate bring up and testing workflows oReduce manual, repetitive tasks Contribute to SOPs and standardized processes in partnership with Infra/SRE and Data Center Operations teams Lab & Data Center Interaction (Targeted) Perform hands on work on hardware, including: oInstalling, configuring, and validating systems oCoordinating with DC Ops for heavy lifting, racking, stacking, and cabling Follow strict handling procedures for pre production, high value hardware Interface closely with internal partners (IPP, enterprise teams, validation, software) Skills GPU, Linux, liquid cooling, System administrator, Python Top Skills Details GPU,Linux,liquid cooling Additional Skills & Qualifications What This Role Is NOT * Pure data center operations (rack/stack/cable all day) * Remote role (on site presence is required) * Narrow technician role with no system ownership * Production IT operations Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.
