Join the Printpack Medical team in Marshall, NC, as a Planner and Scheduler to become a vital member of our Materials Management team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring efficient production processes, timely delivery of products, and optimal resource utilization while supporting our mission to deliver high-quality medical packaging solutions. Materials Planning & Inventory Management:
  • Analyze customer forecasts to drive strategic raw material purchasing decisions

  • Regularly assess inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock

  • Collaborate directly with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials

Production Scheduling & Capacity Management:
  • Review available capacity across multiple assets and identify necessary adjustments to meet demand

  • Create clear, concise production schedules and provide status updates to stakeholders, including support departments, sales, and customer service

  • Monitor real-time production progress and identify potential bottlenecks

  • Take proactive measures to adjust schedules and maintain operational efficiency

Problem Resolution & Communication:
  • Research and provide input when shortages or schedule interruptions occur

  • Follow up diligently to ensure committed delivery dates are maintained

  • Lead team meetings and present findings to various groups within the organization

  • Maintain calm under pressure and offer solutions that minimize disruption to operations

Education & Experience:
    • Several years of equivalent applicable experience

Technical Skills:
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote

  • Experience with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) systems for purchasing and scheduling

  • Familiarity with scheduling software such as Greycon

  • Solid understanding of planning and scheduling principles, practices, and techniques

Core Competencies:
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong attention to detail with effective task prioritization capabilities

  • Proven problem-solving mindset with adaptability to changes and challenges

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities

  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
