Vacancy Announcement Brief Description The purpose of this position is to perform site surveys for the Brazos River Authority (BRA) to ensure optimal and appropriate land usage and to oversee the inspections department. This is accomplished by supervising the inspections and reservoir programs groups; planning, prioritizing, and arranging work schedules; assisting with the management of BRA retained lands; performing site surveys reviewing proposals for property development; overseeing the construction process; reviewing requests and applications; answering questions concerning lease/deed restrictions and setbacks; visiting construction sites to judge feasibility of the requests; taking photos of job sites; verifying that proposals meet guidelines and lease requirements; overseeing the inspection of lease renewals and transfers of leased property; and resolving discrepancies. Other responsibilities include overseeing the dock permitting process; reviewing new dock requests; answering questions about dock regulations; and inspecting docks for compliance; acting as the designated representative for the On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF) program; investigating complaints; monitoring the integrity of the dam; preparing the budget for department; performing research for surveyors; and any other duties as assigned.
