IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Continuity Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for supporting all Business Continuity Program (BCP) planning deliverables within a Global Technology organization. The ideal candidate will drive efforts to improve recoverability and resiliency, track compliance, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are met. Key activities include managing Technical Recovery Plans, Application Dependency Mapping, and preparing risk presentations for senior executives.

Responsibilities:

• Support all Business Continuity Program (BCP) planning deliverables, including Technical Profile Information (TPI), Technical Recovery Plans, and Application Dependency Mapping Certification
• Drive the annual effort to improve recoverability and resiliency through thematic analysis and reporting
• Track compliance and remediation strategies for any applications that are out of compliance
• Communicate, influence, and negotiate both vertically and horizontally to leverage necessary resources
• Prepare senior executive risk presentations and handle weekly escalation of upcoming and past due work
• Support technology teams in firm-wide risk programs by delivering requested artifacts and verifying accuracy
• Understand and assist in the Disaster Recovery process and procedures
• Coordinate with Technology Management to monitor the execution and completion of Audit control activities
• Partner with Technology Management in the execution of quality assurance programs

Requirements:

• Sound knowledge in business continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and testing environments
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel (ability to code) and PowerPoint
• Experience with SharePoint, Access, and Visio
• Experience using JIRA to organize and manage process change
• Experience coordinating with different stakeholders to drive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery drills
• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
• Understanding of key systems including CPT (Continuity Planning Tool) and Alphabet (btConverge)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• A self-starter with ambition and drive who exhibits the ability to proactively follow up and get results

Pay rate: $36.82 - $44.82 per hour
