About the Team

The Central Supply team supports departments across the Lakewood Health System campus by managing medical supply distribution and inventory. The team works collaboratively with clinical and support departments to ensure essential supplies are organized, stocked, and available to support patient care and daily hospital operations.

Mission for Position

Support patient care by ensuring hospital departments have reliable access to the medical supplies they need through efficient distribution, accurate inventory tracking, and organized supply management.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Supply Distribution Assistant supports hospital departments by ensuring medical supplies are stocked and readily available throughout the hospital campus. This entry-level role assists with supply delivery, stocking, and inventory management to help maintain appropriate supply levels across clinical and support areas. Responsibilities include stocking and replenishing supplies, delivering items to hospital departments, maintaining organized supply storage areas, and utilizing inventory management systems to track supply usage. The role supports efficient hospital operations while helping reduce waste and ensure supplies are available for patient care.

Position Type

This is a flexible position starting at 4 hrs/week and up to 24 hrs/week in the summer.

Qualifications

Qualifications



  • Ability to learn and use computer software and handheld inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous healthcare exposure or CNA training preferred, or interest in healthcare careers
