Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory control, and shipping and receiving activities. This role ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, maintains inventory accuracy, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business operations. The position requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Accurately locate, pick, and prepare materials based on pick lists or work orders in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Process and ship finished goods, service parts, and equipment to domestic and international customers.
  • Receive incoming materials and update inventory records in the system.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including performing cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
  • Move materials between warehouse locations and designated areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and fulfill backorders and urgent requests.
  • Support service and repair operations by providing necessary components.
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies, shortages, or issues that may impact operations.
  • Maintain high standards for picking accuracy and inventory performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain effective communication with internal departments and stakeholders.


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with international shipping and customs processes preferred.
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet performance metrics and operational goals.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.


Work Experience



  • At least 1 year of relevant warehouse or material handling experience required.
