Position Summary

Light & Wonder powers a significant portion of the world's regulated gaming floors and online casinos. We're building a new AI Agent Platform team in Austin focused on solving complex operational problems through production-grade agentic systems.

This is a greenfield opportunity to help define the architecture, platform standards, and engineering practices behind a growing portfolio of AI-powered business applications. You'll work directly with business stakeholders, rapidly ship solutions, and help build reusable platform capabilities that accelerate future deployments.

Current initiatives include:

  • AI-driven licensing workflow automation for regulated gaming environments

  • Multimodal part discovery for field technicians using image and natural language inputs

This team operates like a startup inside the enterprise, emphasizing experimentation, measurable outcomes, and rapid delivery on a modern Microsoft-centric technology stack.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deliver AI agent workflows end-to-end across frontend, backend, and orchestration layers

  • Build intuitive user experiences that embed AI into business workflows

  • Implement agent orchestration, tool integration, multi-agent collaboration, and human approval workflows

  • Create evaluation frameworks, regression testing, and quality controls for non-deterministic systems

  • Develop reusable platform services, templates, and engineering standards

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders to identify high-value automation opportunities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building production systems

  • Strong expertise in C# and modern .NET development

  • Strong TypeScript and React experience

  • Experience delivering production applications powered by LLMs or agentic AI systems

  • Experience designing evaluations, testing strategies, or quality frameworks for AI-powered applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure cloud services and infrastructure-as-code experience

  • Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangGraph, or OpenAI Agents SDK

  • Experience building copilot or agent user interfaces

  • Experience working on platform, developer experience, or reusable infrastructure teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent professional experience.
