You will partner with Engineering, Architecture, CloudOps, Security, Data Governance, and IT teams to deliver well-architected solutions aligned with enterprise strategy using modern cloud-native, data-driven, and AI-native patterns. You will guide enterprise approaches for AI integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, model orchestration, responsible AI, and secure AI adoption while balancing innovation, reliability, compliance, and business value.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture patterns for generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, prompt orchestration, agent-based workflows, and AI-assisted automation.
  • Design end-to-end solution and reference architectures across applications, APIs, integrations, data platforms, identity, cloud infrastructure, and AI-enabled systems.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, CloudOps, Security, Data Governance, IT, and Product teams to embed security, reliability, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
  • Guide Platform Engineering teams in designing secure, reusable components, shared services, and AI platform capabilities.
  • Develop proofs of concept, automation scripts, tools, and reference implementations across application, data, security, integration, and AI use cases.
  • Evaluate AI architecture approaches, frameworks, model integration patterns, vector stores, semantic search capabilities, and orchestration technologies.
  • Lead architecture and design sessions with engineering teams, business stakeholders, AI product teams, and data teams.
  • Simplify complex technical concepts, including AI architecture, model behavior, data grounding, and security tradeoffs, to influence direction and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Architect solutions that meet non-functional requirements including security, reliability, scalability, performance, compliance, observability, and AI governance.
  • Drive long-term technical evolution across platform, data, cloud, application, and AI strategies.
  • Mentor team members and support adoption of modern AI engineering practices across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise policies, standards, and directives established by the CISO organization and Data Governance.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 7 or more years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years in software architecture, systems design, or AI solution architecture required.
  • Full-stack development experience across front-end, back-end, and cloud-native applications required.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, or integrating AI-enabled and data-driven solutions required.
  • Experience with generative AI platforms, large language model integration, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, model orchestration, vector databases, semantic search, or AI agents preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services, including networking, security, identity, data, and Azure AI capabilities required.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and SOC 2 required.
  • Understanding of AI-related privacy, security, governance, model risk, and responsible use considerations preferred.
  • Experience with IAM, OIDC, FGA, networking concepts, Linux tools, scripting, and modern security protocols preferred.
  • Experience with data modeling, data engineering, APIs, AI integration patterns, event-driven systems, middleware, and front-end architectures preferred.
