Job Summary

We are seeking Entry-Level Data Center Technicians to support infrastructure projects within critical data center environments. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in skilled trades and hands-on work environments, including construction, electrical, HVAC, manufacturing, warehouse operations, maintenance, mechanical work, carpentry, and related fields. No prior data center or cabling experience is required. Comprehensive training, mentorship, and career development opportunities will be provided. Technicians will assist with equipment installation, cable routing, material handling, and maintaining safe, organized job sites while developing technical skills within the telecom and low-voltage industry.

Job Responsibilities




  • Assist with cable routing, fiber rough-in, and infrastructure installation activities.



  • Support cable management, labeling, and overall job site organization.



  • Assist with equipment installation, rack assembly, and hardware mounting.



  • Build and organize server racks and cabinet systems.



  • Install infrastructure components, including fiber tray systems, ladder racks, and cable management systems.



  • Receive, organize, stage, and track materials and equipment for installation projects.



  • Assist with outside plant (OSP) fiber installations within data center environments.



  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and installation instructions.



  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.



  • Follow all safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and job site cleanliness standards.



  • Participate in hands-on training and mentorship programs to learn industry best practices.




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.



  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, warehouse operations, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or other hands-on work environments preferred.



  • No prior cabling or data center experience required; training will be provided.



  • Ability to use basic hand tools and learn technical installation procedures.



  • OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.



  • Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.



  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and project documentation.



  • Must be able to work on ladders and scissor lifts, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, move up to 75 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods.



  • Basic tools preferred, including a screwdriver set, tape measure, pliers, flashlight, work boots, gloves, and tool pouch.
