Aircraft Technology, Inc., (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world. The CNC Programmer/Machinist provides essential support to the Engineering Department through CNC and CMM programming, manufacturing process development, tooling design, and CNC operation for production support. This position is responsible for developing and operating CNC machining programs, CMM inspection programs, manufacturing fixtures, and engineering documentation to support aerospace component repair and manufacturing operations. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES: Language/Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, reports, and correspondence. Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Computer Skills: Possess a general understanding in the areas of application programming and database and system design, including Outlook, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, 3D modeling, and programming CNC machines. Other Skills: Ability to use basic mathematics, possess a basic understanding of the areas of machining, welding, and inspection. Reasoning Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Interpersonal Skills: Must work well with and communicate effectively with others. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC programming and setup. Experience with CMM programming and dimensional inspection techniques preferred. Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, tooling design, aerospace manufacturing processes, and CAD/CAM software are desirable. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is typically performed in a shop or engineering environment. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. Noise level is generally low to moderate. | |
