Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details through proper reporting channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, visitor management, and adherence to location rules and expectations.
  • Assist with de-escalation support and other security-related duties within a shelter environment while treating all individuals with professionalism, respect, and compassion.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
