The Production Technician is responsible for performing overhaul, repair, refurbishment, and reassembly operations on aircraft components, assemblies, and related equipment. This role supports the delivery of mission-ready products by ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical data, engineering specifications, and quality standards. What You'll Do
- Perform overhaul, repair, and refurbishment activities on mechanical and structural assemblies.
- Remove, inspect, tag, and reinstall LRUs in accordance with maintenance procedures and technical manuals.
- Conduct complete disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of components and assemblies.
- Perform major and minor structural repairs including sheet metal work, fitting, drilling, fastening, riveting, and component replacement.
- Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, masking, cleaning, and corrosion removal.
- Apply primers, coatings, and paint finishes in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and specialized overhaul equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational requirements.
- Accurately complete production records, maintenance documentation, and inspection reports.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, quality assurance, and inspection personnel to meet production schedules and operational goals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul operations, manufacturing, MRO, or related industrial environments preferred.
- Experience with structural repair, assembly/disassembly, painting, and mechanical systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, fasteners, and repair techniques preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and standard shop tools.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, hazardous materials handling, and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented production environment.
- Due to federal contracting requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level clearance
- A&P License preferred but not required.
- Aerospace, structural repair, or manufacturing certifications are a plus.
- Forklift, crane, or respiratory certifications preferred where applicable.

Position will be exposed to noise, chemicals, paint fumes, and varying temperatures; must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
