The Energy Management Efficiency Synthesis Design Manager is responsible for leading the integration, synthesis, and delivery of Energy Management simulation and validation activities across vehicle programs. This role combines program integration with simulation to ensure vehicles meet Fuel Economy, EV Range, Performance, and Capability targets. The manager leads a team of engineers and oversees cross-functional execution.



  • Lead vehicle-level Energy Management performance (Fuel Economy, EV range, Longitudinal Performance, Capability)
  • Own program status, risk management, and executive reporting in coordination with EMAT PPL.
  • Lead cross-functional trade-offs balancing efficiency, performance, and compliance. Ensure alignment with Propulsion Systems (calibration, controls, hardware, simulation), Vehicle Synthesis, and Regulatory teams throughout development and validation.
  • Drive integration of simulation, test data, and engineering targets through deep-dive analysis.
  • Lead participation in NA Fuel Economy & CO2 Working Group and coordination with TSRC
  • Coordinate with Global EMAT, Propulsion Systems, and Regulatory teams on export programs
  • Ensure compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers
  • Manage priorities and ensure execution against milestones
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement among team members.
  • Reinforce existing Energy Management processes and promote development of new methodologies


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in vehicle or propulsion system development
  • Experience in vehicle Fuel Economy and Performance testing or simulation
  • Knowledge of Fuel Economy / CO2 regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced engineering degree
  • Experience with electrified powertrains
  • Proficiency in data analysis or similar tools
  • Knowledge of Coastdown and benchmarking
