We're searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build. CCI is looking for a Delivery Driver (CDL A) in our Lansing, Michigan region.

What You Will Do:

As a Delivery Driver, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Assists with maintaining warehouse conditions to a high standard of safety, organization, and cleanliness inside and outside facility

• Checks documentation for completeness and accuracy

• Inspects loads to ensure that cargo is secure

• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage

• Maintains logs and other documentation, as required

• Follows delivery instructions accordingly

• Checks condition of trailers and equipment, reporting any issues immediately

• Secures cargo for transport, using provided and required equipment

• Follows appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods

• Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, including emergency roadside repairs

• Must have basic Construction materials/tools knowledge

• Load and unload trucks utilizing forklift

• Repair and maintain tools and equipment

• Prepare orders for delivery

• Drive trucks, and deliver orders to construction sites

• Perform basic computer functions

• Maintains vehicle yard

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

• Two (2) years of applicable experience delivering equipment.

• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Current and valid class A CDL.

• Requires a good driving record, and must comply with DOT and other applicable requirements.

• -or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of construction instruments/tools.

• Ability to learn new systems and technologies.

• Must be able to work at a fast and steady pace to meet production goals.

• Ability to operate large equipment safely.

• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.

Expected Hours of Work and Travel: Full time position. Occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Travel to project sites to make deliveries is required. The majority of travel is confined to the local area, with occasional travel to other locations outside of the local area.
