Join us as our new Production Operator in the Finished Goods Production Department at Novonesis. At Novonesis, our Production Operators are skilled professionals who help bring biology to life. In our industrial biotechnology factory, we use naturally occurring microbes to produce BioSolutions-enzymes and proteins that support industries such as food production, household care, animal nutrition, and biofuels. You'll be part of a team that plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability while contributing to solutions that make a real impact globally.

The Role & Your Impact

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production processes. You'll contribute directly to product quality and operational excellence in our manufacturing environment.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing raw materials for production

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting equipment and processes

  • Operating plant processing computer systems

  • Performing minor repairs and replacing equipment parts

  • Testing materials to ensure quality and compliance standards are met

  • Operating industrial processing equipment

What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient computer literacy

  • Ability to move freely around factory and outdoor environments, including pushing, pulling, kneeling, and squatting

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to manually operate equipment and tools (e.g., turning valves, aligning hoses)

  • Willingness to use required PPE, including uniform, hard hat, eye and ear protection, hair/beard nets, and respirator

  • Ability to climb stairs and work at heights (ladders, platforms, tanks)

  • Ability to enter and work in confined spaces

  • Ability to pass a written certification test

Additional Skills & Interests We Value
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience

  • Familiarity with process control systems

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

This role follows a rotating shift schedule and involves physical, hands-on work in a production environment.

Schedule:

  • 2-week rotation

  • Weeks 1-2: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

  • Weeks 3-4: Monday-Thursday, 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Working conditions include:

  • Operating in both indoor factory and outdoor environments

  • Performing physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, manual handling)

  • Working at heights and in confined spaces

  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay:

  • $25.05 base rate

  • $3.00/hour night shift differential
