Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - Hutto, 600 Schneider Blvd, Suite 300 - 400 Division:Solutions Job Posting Title: Checker, Quality-Overnights (BHN) Time Type: Full Time POSITION SUMMARY TheQualityCheckeris responsible forcoordinating safety and quality functions andassistingtheSupervisor.This may include auditing shipments, work areas, processes, orother areas orfunctions asassigned by management.Ensuresthe warehouseis in compliance withsafetyand quality policies and principles.The position performs work involving the implementation of identified safety and training programs and a variety of associated operations. This position is expected to uphold andcomply withall Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies,safetyand work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible formaintainingthe Document Control Center,Dataand Records of the Quality System. Support, documentation and follow up on Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and Corrective Actions raised from Internal Audits. Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, clientdocumentations. Generate and update control charts as well as Quality QOS Review and validation of all controlled documentation used and displayed throughout the plant against QIS. Participate in the Continuous Improvement Projects. Work close in hand with Supervisortodevelop improvements toemployee'sperformance as well as the service provided to all other departments. Perform plant tourstodetect any activity not in compliancewithinthe quality. Keep under clean and organized conditions, theworkstationand/or area. Availability to develop anynew activityor project assigned. Ensure Weekly Triggers files are sent to the Suppliers ona timelybasis. Manage/follow up ofagedmaterial process; notify Customer for proper disposition. Manage the excess/slow moving inventory andseek fordisposition. Maintain Vendor/Parts profile updates in the system. Continuously work on improving operations communication with Supplier and Customer. Prepare all paperwork and backup fata for return shipments. Ensure customer responses are made within customer serviceobjectives. Responsible for several reports andmonitorcompliance. Coordinate cycle counts asrequiredfor Sync Report Analysis. Setup andmaintainall vendor,contact,and part profile information. Activelyparticipatein Customer/Internal Corrective Action and Improvement Plans. Support other areas asrequired. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Ability to handle basic statistical control methods. Must havepreviousInventory experience. Current orpreviousexperience with Quality Management System. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations None SKILLS,KNOWLEDGE,AND ABILITIES Computer Skills Mustpossessexcellent computer skills, not limited toMS Office, Windows, or Visio. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills Basic to intermediate level. Other Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance. Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pacedwork environment. Current orpreviousexperience with Quality Managementsystem. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working ina logistics/distribution/relevant environment. Previousexperience working with Internal Audits, Document Control, and CorrectiveActionplans. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employeerarely isexposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment isusually lowto moderate.
