Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE: The Sales Intern will support the Northern California Sales Team by contributing to data-driven sales strategies and analytics that inform how we prioritize and engage accounts across the territory. You'll identify and map contacts at biotech, pharma, startup, and incubator accounts - enriching our CRM with accurate, actionable data that drives real outreach and relationship-building. You'll work primarily across our development and strategic biotech, pharma, and incubator accounts in the Bay Area industry ecosystem, with some exposure to clinical and academic accounts as the business requires. CORE DUTIES: Biotech, Pharma, Startup & Incubator Accounts (Primary Focus) Sales Analysis & Contact Management Contact Mapping & Account Intelligence In-Person & Event Engagement Sales Strategy & Process Development Clinical & Academic Accounts KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree in a science and/or business field. 2. Genuine curiosity about the biotech industry and the business of science. 3. Detail-oriented - accuracy in CRM and contact data matters. 4. Fluent with professional networking platforms (LinkedIn). 5. Works well cross-functionally and with autonomy. 6. Strong written communicator. 7. Comfortable with data analysis and spreadsheet tools (Excel). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Familiarity with the Bay Area biotech and startup ecosystem (incubators, accelerators, early-stage companies). 2. Experience with or interest in CRM tools. 3. Comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity and generate insights. 4. Ability to travel locally as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 1. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications. 2. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. 3. Ability to walk up to 5 km during an 8-hour workday.
