What to Expect
Te sla is seeking Quality Technicians to join ourteam. The position will be based in S parks, Nevada at Tesla's Gigafactory supporting the Semi-truck Program. This role will focus on ensuring the highest standards of product quality within fast-paced manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical skills, an eye for detail, and experience in quality control systems. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, engineers, and suppliers toidentifyquality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions, all while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Current shift: 6:00AM - 5:00PM;Monday to Thursday

*Due to business needs in the future, this position may move to Tesla's regular shift schedules as shown below:

A shift Sunday - Tuesday, Alternating Wednesdays 6am-6pm

B shift Thursday - Saturday, Alternating Wednesdays 6am-6pm

C shift Sunday - Tuesday, Alternating Wednesdays 6pm-6am

D shift Thursday - Saturday, Alternating Wednesdays 6pm-6am


What You'll Do
  • Perform inspections, audits, and testing to evaluate product and process performance
  • Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions and countermeasures
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards and resolve manufacturing quality issues
  • Manage non-conforming materials by containing, sorting, and disposing of them according to protocols
  • Support continuous improvement activities and provide feedback to engineering for process and design optimizations
  • Collect and analyze mechanical and electrical test data, and contribute to PFMEA and control plan activities
  • Maintain clear documentation on quality performance and escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams

What You'll Bring
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or automotive quality assurance environment
  • Proficiency with quality systems (QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DFMEA, PFMEA) and tools (e.g., calipers, torque wrenches, micrometers)
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings (GD&T knowledge preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SQL, Python) is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced team environment and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE when necessary
Essential Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lifting 30 pounds and carrying 20 pounds up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift, reach, stoop, lay, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
  • Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
