About the Opportunity:
Seeking an experienced Tactical Data Link (TDL) professional to support the development, delivery, and maintenance of Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) training programs. This role combines curriculum development, instruction, interoperability planning, and technical expertise in Link 16 and multi-TDL operations to support military training exercises, operational requirements, and worldwide mobile training team deployments.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop, revise, maintain, and deliver JICO and Joint Interface Data (JID) course curriculum, instructional materials, and multimedia training content.
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer training programs, including course schedules, field training events, student communications, briefings, and related documentation.
  • Liaise with Combatant Command staff and other stakeholders to support exercise planning, preparation, and interoperability objectives.
  • Prepare and review operational data link messaging, support Link 16 network planning, and assist with network modifications for training exercises.
  • Analyze multi-TDL architectures and system performance, recommend improvements, and implement changes based on operational observations and training requirements.
  • Manage, evaluate, and maintain JICO automated tools and associated configuration management processes while coordinating with development and acquisition organizations.
  • Operate and support the Link 16 Pulse Deconfliction Server (LPDS), providing technical assistance related to frequency clearance and Time Slot Duty Factor (TSDF) requirements.
  • Represent the organization at joint and multinational interoperability working groups and support worldwide mobile training team deployments as required.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and related experience.
  • Graduate of JT-301.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Tactical Data Link (TDL) experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of military instructor experience
What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience in Variable Message Format over Combat Net Radio (VMF over CNR)
  • Experience in Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS)
  • Experience in Simulations or live virtual construct (LVC) development and execution, which required tactical data link integration
  • Expertise in operating, integration, configuring, and modifying various C2/TDL systems such as BC3, MSCT, TDF, CAC2S, ADSI, TRAX, JRE, MOJO, FAADC2, etc.
  • Experience with planning, building, and requesting new networks with the service Network Design Facility

  • Must have Active Secret Clerance
  • Capable of worldwide deployment supporting Mobile Training Teams, often under field 3 conditions
