Patient Registration Specialist (Float) - Direct Hire Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Patient Registration Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, has strong administrative skills, and understands healthcare insurance processes. This is a float position, supporting multiple clinic locations across the metro area. Travel flexibility is required, and mileage reimbursement is provided. Key Responsibilities * Greet and check in patients with a friendly, welcoming demeanor * Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information * Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately * Verify insurance eligibility prior to services * Provide excellent customer service to patients, many of whom may be experiencing chronic pain * Maintain accurate data entry within internal systems * Communicate clearly with both patients and internal team members * Travel to various clinic locations as needed Note: This role does not involve scheduling responsibilities. Schedule Shift times vary by location: * Minneapolis: * 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM * 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or until last patient) * Other Locations: * Typically 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or * 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (or until last patient) Coverage Area (Float Role) Must be willing to travel between multiple sites, including: * Minneapolis, St. Paul, Burnsville, Shakopee * Buffalo, Plymouth, Woodbury * Vadnais Heights, Blaine/Coon Rapids * Cambridge and other metro locations Mileage Reimbursement: * Paid at the IRS rate ($0.66/mile) for miles beyond normal commute * Additional $5/hour premium for time worked at select outlying locations (Cambridge, Buffalo, Northfield) Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * Experience in healthcare or a medical front desk setting (dental experience also accepted) * Knowledge of insurance verification and reading insurance cards * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to work with patients in a compassionate and professional manner Preferred Qualifications * Medical terminology training or education * Prior experience in a high-volume patient-facing environment * Experience in insurance, healthcare administration, or patient services Key Skills * Patient Registration & Intake * Customer Service * Insurance Verification * Data Entry * Healthcare Administration Compensation & Benefits * Pay: $23/hour * Mileage reimbursement provided * Additional pay incentives for certain locations * Direct hire opportunity Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
