UTILITY (SEWER) TECHNICIAN/CLASS II

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT UTILITY (SEWER) TECHNICIAN/CLASS II Cumru Township will accept applications from interested persons for the full-time position of Utility (Sewer) Technician (Class 2). The successful applicant will possess a valid Pennsylvania drivers license CDL Class B without air brake restriction and with tanker endorsement, and maintain same as a condition of continued employment. CDL training available to qualified candidates; must be attained within 5 months of employment. All applicants must document the following, minimum levels of experience/training: High school diploma or GED; Comprehensive knowledge and experience operating light/heavy trucks and equipment, including in adverse conditions; Comprehensive knowledge and experience operating equipment and tools used in the maintenance of a sanitary sewer collection system and pumping station; Comprehensive knowledge and experience in occupational hazards and safety precautions of such trucks and equipment. This is a Teamsters union position and the pay rate is determined based on the contractual obligation.
