Nye County Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a General Laborer at our landfill in Pahrump, NV! The starting pay will be $20 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $20 per hour. We also offer great family benefits, a 401k match, paid vacation, etc. The schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday 7:30AM - 4:00PM. Why Choose Us? As a landfill laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are: Checking trucks in and out of the landfill and directing traffic at site as necessary. Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable. Perform yard work including cutting weeds. Install temporary wind fences as required. Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determinesafe and environmentally sound solutions toserviceissues. What we need from you: One year of stable employment history in a similar environment. Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
