POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health ADHD research group (James Waxmonsky, MD, Daniel Waschbusch, PhD, Dara Babinski, PhD and Raman Baweja, MD) is seeking a Human Research Technologist (Professional or Intermediate Professional) to assist with several research studies focusing on the assessment and treatment of children and teenagers with ADHD and related mental health disorders. Studies will involve neurophysiological (EEG) and possibly other neuroimaging modalities.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily duties across several studies; therefore, prior experience in clinical research is required. Primary duties include drafting and updating IRB submissions, scoring structured rating skills, completing structured interviews of youth, prepping and scoring ecological momentary analysis (EMA) surveys, EEG data collection and cleaning, assisting with grant administration, and assisting with manuscript preparation as well as training new hires and rotating students working in the lab. There may also be opportunities to assist with diagnostic assessments and behavioral treatments for children under the supervision of MD and PhD faculty.

This is a 40-hour per week position (Monday-Friday), with some evening hours required. Work hours are primarily day shift but may intermittently require 1-2 evenings per week, until approximately 7:30 pm. Work location is the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic at 22 Northeast Drive, Hershey PA.

Prior experience with database creation and management is required such as familiarity with REDCAP and/or Qualtrics, SPSS or related programs. Experience in behavioral health research is preferred. Studies with employ EEG; relevant prior experience is desirable. Programming experience with Presentation is also desired. Applicants must be comfortable working with children ages 6 and up.

Bachelor's degree preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with training and interest in pediatric mental health.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Professional, this position requires: Associate Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None If filled as Human Research Technologist - Health and Medicine - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Associate Degree 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $61,000.00.
