Quality Engineer:

Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its team in Ogden, Utah. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Quality Engineer with experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across departments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the integration of new products and programs into the quality system while collaborating closely with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and production teams.
- Review and analyze digitally generated inspection data, dimensional reports, and measurement results to ensure product conformance and support process improvements.
- Support and enhance internal quality capabilities with an emphasis on measurement systems and NADCAP accreditation requirements.
- Prepare and maintain AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) packages for new and existing programs.
- Prepare Verification of Special Processes (VSE) packages and coordinate documentation for customer and internal review.
- Develop Quality Plans to ensure all design characteristics and customer requirements are properly accounted for and verified.
- Review manufacturing plans and routers to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
- Develop and analyze statistical quality data to evaluate product and process performance.
Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC), trend analysis, and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Investigate product non-conformances and process issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support supplier quality initiatives including supplier audits, supplier development, and special process approvals.
- Evaluate suppliers and participate in qualification and approval activities.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Customers to resolve quality concerns and improve overall product performance.
- Make sound technical decisions that support production schedules, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Support company quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with: Digital dimensional analysis, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Inspection data analysis, Blueprint interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience developing and reviewing AS9102 First Article Inspection packages.
- Experience with: AS9100 Quality Management Systems, NADCAP accreditation requirements, Statistical, Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Ability to interpret: Customer drawings, Engineering specifications, Industry standards, Inspection requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
