Coke Florida is looking for a Lead Fleet Technician based out of our Cocoa location. Working 4:00 am to 12:30 pm, Monday - Friday.



What You Will Do:


As a Coke Florida Lead Fleet Technician, you will serve as the technical expert and operational lead, ensuring fleet reliability through technical leadership, workforce coordinator and quality control. You will bridge execution and supervisor for the Fleet team.



Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex diagnostics and repairs
  • Perform and validate advanced troubleshooting across all fleet systems
  • Ensure repair quality meets safety, DOT, performance and company standards
  • Coordinate daily workload, scheduling, and task prioritization
  • Aid with hands-on training and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Partner with supervisor and parts expeditor to ensure parts availability
  • Identify trends in failures and drive root cause analysis and proposed process improvements
  • Lead or support fleet initiatives such as vendor management and audits
  • Collaborate with operations and other key stakeholders to minimize downtime and service disruption
  • Service as a back up for Fleet Supervisor when necessary



For this role, you will need:



  • 4+ years of fleet maintenance experience, including advanced diagnostics
  • Demonstrated expertise in:


    • Multi-system troubleshooting (electrical, powertrain hydraulics)
    • Complex repair planning and execution


  • Proven experience as a team leader


    • Proactively supporting teammates
    • Can resolve minor conflicts independently
    • Can contribute to problem solving in a positive manner


  • Strong understanding of:


    • DOT regulations and compliance requirements
    • Fleet operations in distribution/logistics environment


  • Experience managing:


    • Work queues, schedules and service levels



  • Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years*
  • Intermediate knowledge of web-based fleet tools and MS Office 365
  • Strong organizational skills

    • Ability to plan work across people timelines and occasionally locations
    • Demonstrated ability to improve workflow efficiency
    • Reliable planer


  • Strong communication skills

    • Ability to adapt communication style to audience
    • Ability to present clear status updates





*Major moving violations include, but are not limited to, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and reckless driving. Minor moving violations include, but are not limited to, speeding, driving too close, failure to stop, and improper lane changes. Driving records, including minor moving violations, will be evaluated according to Coke Florida guidelines to determine eligibility for the Fleet Technician position.



Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role:



  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of technical experience preferred.


  • Gasoline, diesel, propane and/or electric vehicle experience preferred


  • ASE certification and CDL license or certification is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to fleet analytics / reliability tracking
  • Previous leadership experience
